Sweet Messy Love....

Hello Romantics and Swooners alike, It was always you. Such a pretty sentence. It implies that no matter what you and whoever is saying it were always supposed to be together. Such a pretty sentiment.  But to me it always sounds like an answer someone gives to convince another they should be forgiven for a mistake.  A cheater convinces their spouse that the other person was a mistake and that It was always their spouse they truly loved.  An abuser tricks the person he is hurting it was always them who mean the world for them.  These example are just examples but it's about context. Pretty words and lovely to hear but why, why is the person saying them? What is the situation they are saying them in.  This sentence is a wonder to hear from someone you know loves you, to hear it as a ow during a wedding or just a soft moment shared between those who love each other. This is essentially the best piece of advice I have ever gotten and can ever give.  Why? Because if you are not happy with yourself, then why would you be happy with someone else?  I had a friend who broke up with a boyfriend of many years and she started dating almost straight away.
